Santiago, January 2026. Consumer-focused innovation once again took center stage at the 2026 Product of the Year Awards, a distinction based on direct consumer voting. This year, Nutrisco received two awards: one for its San José Jack Mackerel Loins and another for its Flip snack portfolio, both recognized for responding to evolving consumer habits and the expectations of increasingly informed and demanding consumers.
The event brought together key players from the marketing, advertising, and retail industries, highlighting brands that successfully stand out in highly competitive markets through relevant, consistent, and meaningful offerings. In this context, Nutrisco’s achievements reflect a strong combination of tradition, innovation, and a deep understanding of consumer needs.
For Flip, the award highlights growing consumer interest in snacks that support more conscious, functional, and lifestyle-compatible choices.
Meanwhile, Rosario Bruno, Seafood Marketing Analyst at Nutrisco, emphasized the significance of the award for a brand with a long-standing heritage. “This year, San José celebrates its 70th anniversary, representing seven decades of listening to consumers. This recognition of our Jack Mackerel Loins as Product of the Year 2026 is, above all, a testament to the trust we have built over time.”
In a market characterized by intense competition and increasingly informed consumers, the recognition earned by Nutrisco through San José and Flip confirms a broader trend across the consumer goods industry: relevant, well-executed products that resonate with people continue to play a leading role in the marketplace.
The Product of the Year award is presented in more than 40 countries and is based on an independent evaluation methodology. In Chile, the finalist products were assessed by more than 3,000 consumers through a survey conducted through the Treetz platform.
